Chapter 8- An Experience....The Unlawful one...!!!

The Tipsy Turn

As I followed the vehicle I called my office at Delhi to give the instant report that I was behind the vehicle which I thought was the testing vehicle. It was also to let them call and confirm from the informer that I was behind the actual vehicle only which was supposed to be used during the tests. My doubts about the vehicle were cleared instantly over the phone as they also got it confirmed from their informer that the it was the same vehicle which was going for tests.

Though the informer didn't knew that I was behind the vehicle but his info was a bit relaxing for me. We continue to keep pace with vehicle while maintaining the appropriate distance from it as to not to arise any suspicion.

The road was having ups and downs just like peaks and valleys as it is on hill roads and we were losing and gaining sight of the vehicle regularly. These ups and downs were there because the whole area was built on the plateau by cutting rocks and clearing bushes. There were vast unused land masses on both the side of the roads habited with wild bushes and plants. The area was Industrial area and was yet to be populated by the factories and other big plants. The sun was blazing over with heat started to show its effect and on the road ahead was my assignment moving forward to its location yet unknown to me.

After covering about 2 kms, a sudden thing happened, as we come over the peak from the valley on the road, the vehicle was not to be seen anywhere. I immediately asked the driver to stop and jumped out to see further on the road, I looked as far as I could but there was no sign of it on the road ahead. I thought it is at some valley point and would come up but there was nothing even after waiting for more than two minutes.

Where did it vanished???, This was the question going in my mind and banging my inner self.

I asked driver to slowly move the vehicle. It took one more dramatic way to convince him to drive slowly. I started seeing sideways to find any road or opening leading to some other way but was not able to view anything.

This should not happen...not this time....not now....not here....
I was murmuring to myself while looking on the sideways carefully. How the hell could I not track a vehicle with a size of truck, though it just in front of me couple of mins ago. What in the this world can I do if cant follow a big truck?

All this was going through my mind, it always happens to you when you want to prove something and hit an unexpected blockade enroute to your goal. And here I was trying to prove my worth to my employer that I could do anything what company wants, I am committed and is more of value to company among my peers.

And this shit just happened to me where I cannot even follow a truck size vehicle.

Visit to HCL, Malanjkhand

On 20/6/2012 I visited one of the Asia's biggest Copper Mines in Malanjkhand, Balaghat. It is situated in MP and has border to Chattisgarh. To reach the site I traveled in Scorpio CG 04 HB 8999 which i hired as taxi. Took Scorpio to tackle the great Roads to Malanjkhand and the monsoon rains.  The MCP (Malanjkhand Copper Project) was initiated in 70's and has now grown to one of the biggest in Asia. I had two objectives while visiting the site one was to participate in the Tender issued by HCL for OTR Tyres and other was to inspect APOLLO tyres which we had supplied to one customer IVRCL who is working for HCL in the project. The mine itself is in two phase, work in one phase is done by HCL itself and in one phase two other contractors works IVRCL and RK Transport. The Copper ore excavated is of one the highest quality in India and the mine is yet to be explored full so I guess it would go on working till next50-70 years more and thus providing essential ...

Trip to Lonavala-Jan'14

Living in Pune gives you an advantage to visits various nearby places & to indulge with nature. Several famous vacation destination are with 100 km range that you can go different places each weekend. For me Travelling to various interior areas of India being one of my occupational responsibility I prefer to spend quite weekends at my room or at a friends place doing nothing or anything, rather travelling to these places. But sometimes I do get freinds from other cities to visit these nearby places for weekend and I along with them visit them. Similarly I visited Lonavala in Jan'14 with couple of friends. LONAVALA is small hill station which finds its place at the middle of Mumbai-Pune Express Highway, It is kind of equidistant from Navi Mumbai (Khargahr) & Pune. Myself living in Pimpri Chinchwad which is towards nearer to Lonavala so its only 1.5 hrs drive to this place. Basically the best time to visit Lonaval;a is after August (during & after monsoon season). ...
