Chapter 8- An Experience....The Unlawful one...!!!

The Tipsy Turn As I followed the vehicle I called my office at Delhi to give the instant report that I was behind the vehicle which I thought was the testing vehicle. It was also to let them call and confirm from the informer that I was behind the actual vehicle only which was supposed to be used during the tests. My doubts about the vehicle were cleared instantly over the phone as they also got it confirmed from their informer that the it was the same vehicle which was going for tests. Though the informer didn't knew that I was behind the vehicle but his info was a bit relaxing for me. We continue to keep pace with vehicle while maintaining the appropriate distance from it as to not to arise any suspicion. The road was having ups and downs just like peaks and valleys as it is on hill roads and we were losing and gaining sight of the vehicle regularly. These ups and downs were there because the whole area was built on the plateau by cutting rocks and clearing bushe...

Chapter 7: The unlawful experience

Commencement of Test The big green vehicle (MPV) on which the test was to be conducted emerged from the gate with couple of more cars behind it. A white Maruti 800 and a Silver Maruti Esteem. These cars I guessed were of the representative of the company of whom the systems were going to be inspected The MPV (Mine Protected Vehicle) came out and pulled over after 100 meters. Around 6 people came out from cars and after some chit chatting boarded the vehicle. I recognized two of them, one had came to our workshop for inspection the systems while we were in assembling stage and other one was the representative of the other party whom I met at an exhibition around month and a half ago, one more person I guess was his boss as he was taking instructions from him. One out of them all seemed to be most important as he came by his own car iconic white "Ambassador" a bit later, and was greeted by all including the representative and his boss. This important person who should ha...

The Chill of Winter Night...!!! Streets are deserted, parks are like empty pit, hawkers are long gone, shops gonna close in a bit. Disturbing the silence are lonely horns of bike & car, accompanying are the sounds of the dogs that bark. Children are strictly inside warm quilts which are cozy, adults have had their drinks and are now drowsy. The temperature has taken a southward direction, and sale of liquor has taken to north west section. Folks are updating photos with fog & snow, looks like everyone is taking picture for a show. The boy of watchman is still near the small bon fire, wearing an old sweater sitting on a car tire. The chilly night has changed the look of my street, nowhere is to be found that pretty girl with her smile that greet. Writing something after a long time, this chilly winter nigt has crtainly clicked my lines to rhyme. --AB

Chapter 6: The unlawful Exprience

The Wait The route to Medak was newly constructed and smooth. It was a 4 lane highway, newly built and as traffic was low the cab was speeding on 80-100 kmph. Looked like the Infrastructure of Andhra Pradesh was on its course to be world class. I had already seen the Airport which was world class too. It took 1.5 hrs to reach the factory in Medak. It was a large compound with employee's colony, Supermarkets, School, Playgrounds, fountains in the first 2 km of the compound It was so nice that once I thought I came to wrong place, though there was a board naming the factory so I was at right place. After completing around 3.5 kms on the main road of the compound, first official building which was Administrative building of the Factory came into view.  The building from its appearance and architecture looked like one built in mid 60's. It was a big straight building of 4 floors painted in red and white colour. There were big windows at regular intervals...

Jungle Mein Safar

Safar pe ek aur chal pada hoon, iss daudti railgaadi mei nayi umeed se nikal pada hoon. Jungle pahadon ke beech, in khade lete chataanon ke beech, ek vishwas phir pakka hua hai, ki abhi bhi kahin jungle bacha hua hai. Desh ke seene mein, jungle se dosti kar rehte log, vishwas unhi purani umeedon aur sabhtyata mein, muskurate hue har dum khush rehte log. Khuli hawa aseemit jahan, dil ko choo lene wala vo sama, yahi hai jahan jindagi jeena maza hai, apne sheheron  mein toh ab yeh bhi ek kalaa hai. sochta hoon yahin reh jaaun, in juglon ke beech kahin kuch din kho jaaun, chatanon se dosti kar unhi pe so jaaun, neher mein akele hi masti mein kho jaaun. baarish hawa paani sab swach hai yahan, par ab reh nahin sakta yahan,  Is duniya mein sab dooshit khaaya ab tak, pata nahin itna swach kha paaun aab sab. In baarish ki boondon ke beech, In  ghane junglon ke beech, ek din aaunga, phir masti mein doobne ko, phi...

Visit to HCL, Malanjkhand

On 20/6/2012 I visited one of the Asia's biggest Copper Mines in Malanjkhand, Balaghat. It is situated in MP and has border to Chattisgarh. To reach the site I traveled in Scorpio CG 04 HB 8999 which i hired as taxi. Took Scorpio to tackle the great Roads to Malanjkhand and the monsoon rains.  The MCP (Malanjkhand Copper Project) was initiated in 70's and has now grown to one of the biggest in Asia. I had two objectives while visiting the site one was to participate in the Tender issued by HCL for OTR Tyres and other was to inspect APOLLO tyres which we had supplied to one customer IVRCL who is working for HCL in the project. The mine itself is in two phase, work in one phase is done by HCL itself and in one phase two other contractors works IVRCL and RK Transport. The Copper ore excavated is of one the highest quality in India and the mine is yet to be explored full so I guess it would go on working till next50-70 years more and thus providing essential ...
